Who am I

Neurodivergent fiber artist Ethan Piterman is known by their peers for their ability to create three dimensional pieces with tactile surfaces that draw out the need to approach and touch to understand the work’s sensory qualities. Having gone on a long journey changing through seven different majors in school before finding fibers and swapping to it, seeing a peer’s work and thinking, “that looks cool, I wanna do that!” Now they use fiber art techniques such as weaving and punch needle to create products that might help other neurodivergent individuals like themself cope with their daily struggles. Through the use of color psychology and tactility they are designing products that people can have around them at any time and be able to fidget with, be it clothing or furniture.
